ANY QUESTIONS?

DBS checked?

Yes.

Qualifications?

I am a fully qualified teacher and have over 10 years' experience in training and consultancy.  I have supported well over a thousand schools during that time.

Wellbeing Education?

Throughout the site you may see references to Wellbeing Education.  This is the name of my company that provides other training for schools in areas such as character and resilience, behaviour, staff wellbeing and motivation for learning.  I frequently run INSET days, speak at conferences, lead professional networks, and work with local authorities, trusts and teaching schools.  This website was created to focus solely on my Happy Lunchtimes work, but you can read more about the rest of what I do at www.wellbeingeducation.co.uk

Can we use sports premium funding?

Many schools have at least partially funded this with sports premium money.  One key outcome is wider participation in activity during lunchtimes.  I have also worked extensively in partnership with Leicester and Rutland Sport delivering this work to their local School Sports Area Networks.

How many staff can attend?

You can have as many staff as you like from one school.  The day is intended for all lunchtime staff, irrespective of any other roles they may have.  Many schools also include other key staff in the training day, such as SENDCO, or pastoral leaders.  It is vital that the head or deputy are free for the leadership consultation at the beginning and end of the day

Can we train staff from more than one school?

Unlike all of my other training this work is not suitable for INSET days or external training.  The day includes a number of school specific elements including whole-school assembly, school council meeting and a live demonstration during lunchtime.  Furthermore, every school gets a bespoke set of recommendations tailored to the priorities of staff and pupils.

Did someone say award?

In addition to your bespoke plan each school receives a certificate with a range of positive achievements for the school, staff and pupils to accomplish.  Once you have completed these elements you can proudly display your award.  There is no formal assessment-displaying your achievements for all to see is a public statement of intent.  You will also receive a logo for use on your website etc.

Secondary schools?

Sorry.  This work is highly geared towards primary schools, and is not suitable for KS3 and above.

Independent Schools?

Absolutely, with the above age considerations in mind.
